Why Values Alignment Matters
Because when your decisions align with your values, life feels meaningful—even during challenges. But without clarity, it’s easy to chase goals that look good on paper but leave you feeling empty. This exercise helps you define what truly matters to you and use it as a compass—so your daily choices and long-term pivots aren’t just productive, but purposeful.
1. Core Values List (Reflective Prompt)
Choose 5 core values. Ask: “Where am I honoring these?” “Where am I compromising them?” “Which value needs more expression?”
How to Use: Start with a curated list of common values (like freedom, growth, connection, creativity, honesty). Choose 5 that deeply resonate. Then reflect using the questions above. Be honest, not judgmental.
Why It Works: This exercise bridges ideals with lived experience. It brings attention to where you feel in alignment versus out of sync.
Real-Life Example: If "connection" is one of your values, but you realize you’re constantly canceling time with loved ones due to work, the misalignment becomes visible—and addressable.
Incentive: When you know your core values, decision-making becomes clearer. You stop second-guessing because your inner compass is activated.

2. Value-to-Action Mapping
For each value: Define 2 daily and 2 monthly behaviors that express it.
How to Use: Once you’ve chosen your values, list two small daily actions and two larger monthly actions that embody each one. Make them specific and realistic.
Why It Works: Abstract values become real when translated into behavior. This method helps you live your values, not just name them.
Real-Life Example: For "growth," daily actions could be reading for 15 minutes or reflecting on lessons learned. Monthly actions might include taking a course or starting a new creative project.
Incentive: Your life starts to feel more congruent. You don’t just talk about what matters to you—you live it.
3. Values Alignment Score
Weekly review: Rate your alignment with each value (1–10). Use this to guide course corrections.
How to Use: Set aside time each week to score your alignment with each of your 5 values. Use a scale from 1 (not at all aligned) to 10 (fully aligned). Then ask yourself: What could I shift next week to raise this score by just 1 point?
Why It Works: Regular check-ins prevent drift. This method creates a feedback loop between intention and action.
Real-Life Example: You rate "honesty" as a 5 because you’ve been avoiding a difficult conversation. You decide to raise it to a 6 by sending a text that opens the door.
Incentive: Tiny weekly shifts lead to powerful long-term alignment. You learn to course-correct gently and consistently.
4. Hypersthene Help
Identifying what needs releasing is an important part of knowing when to pivot, or when to persist. Hypersthene is a truth revealer and a limitation releaser, helping you to let loose of patterns and programming that stops progress.
If you find yourself unable to clarify which values are your most aligned, pause the exercise and take a few days to meditate with Hypersthene, allowing your intuition to gently surface what is most in alignment with your personal integrity system. During the day, carry a piece of Hypersthene and be intentional about keeping this question on your mind and heart. Over time, your most authentic core values will arise, or you will have experiences throughout your day that will illuminate to you where your values lie.
How to Use It: During the Core Values selection and weekly Values Alignment Scoring, meditate briefly with Hypersthene. Let it support calm and clarity as you assess where you’re living in truth.
Crystal Benefit: Hypersthene activates inner discernment. It enhances the ability to distinguish between ego-driven goals and soul-aligned values.
Amplifier Practice: When doing value-to-action mapping, hold Hypersthene and ask: "What would it look like to embody this value today?"
Final Thoughts
Values are your inner GPS. When you define them clearly and use them to guide your days, life gains depth and direction. These tools don’t require radical change—just regular reflection and small, meaningful adjustments.
Try choosing your 5 values today. See what insights arise. Then bring them to life through action. You’ll be amazed how different it feels to walk a path that’s truly your own.
